Saturday March 21 8:45 am - 5 pm Environmental Injustice in Texas - Who is Responsible?

HPJC Spring Conference: Environmental Injustice in Texas - Who is Responsible? will bring together some of the most knowledgeable people in the state to address very important issues on the environment. It will be held at the University of Houston Honors College 212 M.D. Anderson Library.

Our speakers and panelists will focus on defining the issue of environmental injustice, the responsibility of a person of faith, and the responsibility of the state. Our workshops target turning environmental injustice into environmental justice for our crucial Texas issues: Air Quality, Water Quality, Waste & Recycling, and Habitat Loss & Fragmentation.

Sr. Ann Braudis - a Maryknoll Sister (Catholic) works at the UN for Maryknoll Sister's, NGO.

She works with the UN commission on Sustainable Development to bring about effective

policy for marginalized and excluded people. At the UN, Ann is on the Ecumenical

Working Group for climate change and Religions for Peace. She has a MA in Creation

Spirituality and PhD. in Applied Cosmic Anthropology
