Fwd: URGENT-DIANE WILSON NEEDS BAIL MONEY

Submitted by PAAMember on December 7, 2005 - 4:00pm. ::

Please note the message from Katie, below. Diane Wilson,
environmentalist and co-founder of Code Pink, who got into the
Cheney-DeLay fundraiser Monday after making a $50 contribution,
unfurled her cape which had a message on the inside that the Cheney
and DeLay folks didn't like.

Rather than supporting Diane's free speech actions (which are of
course legal), they've decided to charge her with criminal trespass
and possession of a false ID (she apparently used a different name to
get in). I wonder what they'll dream up for the next person who
dares to challenge them?

Diane stood up for us. Let's stand up for her. If you can help
Katie raise bail money for Diane, please contact Katie at
or 832-607-0375 ** today **. Leave a message on
her phonemail if she doesn't answer. I've already told her I'll get
a check to her this afternoon. I hope you can, too.

Katie and other Code Pink folks had already raised $1500 for Diane's
bail for her first charge, and then the authorities came up with the
second charge against her. Please help her today if you can.
Contact Katie to help.
