Fwd: Diane Wilson Update
Katie reports that they have paid the bail money and Diane Wilson
should be out of the Harris Co. jail within a few hours, so you don't
need to do anything else now. See the two forwarded notes below.
Thanks to those of you who volunteered to help.
Additional help may be needed in the very near future, though.
Please check http://houston.indymedia.org/ regularly for updates.
The immediate need today was just for bail money. Legal expenses and
court costs are TBD. Diane also has a prior charge against her for a
protest at a Texas chemical plant -- see:
http://www.chelseagreen.com/politicsandpractice/news/2005/october12
She'd already received a 6-month sentence for that action, and was
supposed to start serving it next year, but a Texas court informed
her in October that she was supposed to start serving the sentence
immediately and would be arrested if/when she stepped foot in Texas.
So she may need more help. Again, please check
http://houston.indymedia.org/ for more news and announcements.
Thanks again to Katie for making sure Diane gets out (at least temporarily).

>Several other people had pledged financial support, too. This was a
